
Tai Chi Chuan (also known as Tai Chi) translates to Grand Ultimate Fist in Chinese. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese art form often considered a yoga-like exercise that blends the flowing yin strength with the hard, fast yang power to become an effective healing exercise and a self-defense system. The movements of the primary routine are performed slowly. Diaphragm breathing is integrated within the routine to further aid in harmonizing the body, mind and subtle energies. The movements of the routine have concepts and principles relating to martial art techniques.
Some of the benefits from practicing Tai Chi are: increased strength, balance, stamina, flexibility, coordination, calmness, and mental clarity. It reduces stress in our life to bring about an overall feeling of well-being.
